Moab Adventure

We had an awesome trip to Moab last weekend. The boys (all three of them) had a great time, even Mason who we were unsure about, but in true Kohler boy fashion getting his brain rattled on the trail was a hit. It's the craziest thing I have ever seen, Mason could just hang out for hours on end with his melon rockin' back and forth but once we hit a nice smooth paved road he only had about 30 minutes before meltdown. Landon liked riding the trails too but was a little impatient at times because he was missing out on some precious playtime at the cool playground where we were staying. They had one of those backhoe-like digger things that he absolutely loved and spent every second he could on.

There is always something cool to see in Moab and we saw some great stuff. We drove Metal Masher, which comes out along the rim above Moab Valley so you can see for miles out into Arches and the La Sal Mountains. Metal Masher probably had some of the hardest obstacles we have come across. We got a picture of a Jeep in another group trying Rock Chucker, pictures never do any of these things justice but let's just say that we weren't about to try this one. The next day we did Elephant Hill in the Needles district of Canyonlands Park. This is an awesome trail that takes you out to an overlook of the confluence where the Green and Colorado Rivers meet. That was quite a site, the only way to get there is this trail (which is seriously 4WD) or a ten mile round trip hike. On our last day there we took it easy and did some site seeing. We went out to Tusher Tunnel, this is a natural tunnel through a hill, it's probably 300-400 feet long. It was really cool and had a great view once you came out the other side. We had lots of fun and as always can't wait to go back!

We got so preoccupied running the trail or had groups behind us making it hard to stop so we didn't get many pictures of obstacles and stuff on the trail but here are some of the pics we did get.
