What a week at our house! On Monday Mason went in for his 15 month check-up and was fortunate enough to receive his MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Varicella (chicken pox) vaccinations. The doc said he could have a reaction, including fever and rash anywhere between 7 and 28 days after the shots. So imagine our surprise when on Tuesday he came down with a pretty good fever of 103.9! The fever slowly tapered off until it was completely gone by Friday night but he has been SUPER grouchy all week long. On Friday morning we noticed a little rash on his belly and back. Saturday morning when he woke up his grouchiest ever and the rash was much worse, I decided my sanity was at it's breaking point and called the doc. They said it seemed too early to be a vaccination reaction and that if he was really fussy (check) and not sleeping well at night (check) we should bring him in to make sure it wasn't something bad. So he went to see the doc again and was told it was probably Roseola and now that the rash is here it's pretty much over, so that was productive! Guess we just have to hold on for a couple more days and his temperament should be much improved. Here's some pix of our spotted doodle-bug...you can't really see the rash in the first one but we thought it was funny.

On a more fun note: Landon had his first T-ball practice this week. It was pretty comical. Landon and 99% of the other kids had no idea what was going on. The first few times the ball was hit toward him, Landon just stood and watched it roll on by. When they figured it out, there were no less than 6 kids trying to chase down the ball. Once he got to bat he did great at hitting the ball, but when the time came to run to base he took off with the bat and when the coach told him to drop it he got all confused and started running off into the infield. So we have been working on some of the fundamentals of the game at home.

Poor little guy! I'm glad it's almost gone though.
As for tee ball...isn't that one of the BEST experiences ever? I loved watching Coleman play tee ball. You'll have to post a picture of that or even better...a video clip... :)
Poor Mason!! He's still super cute even with a rash all over him.
T-ball! haha!! Gotta love it!
