Two Happy Boys...

Last week was a great week for the boys. Landon was so happy to be back in school after spring break and as an added bonus they are learning about transportation for a few weeks, he is completely in his element. Then for the cherry on top of his sundae (as part of learning about transportation) we had a field trip to the fire station, which we got to ride the train (lightrail) to! He was in little boy heaven! They got a tour of the station house, got to get inside the fire truck, and even got to spray the fire hose! He had so much fun. The day before the field trip they talked about firemen and fire safety in school and for the first time ever, Landon actually wanted to talk about what he did in school that day.
In addition to all the above mentioned excitement, our happy baby came back to live with us! After about a month of trying to cut his one year molars, Mason had three of them in and was his happy, sweet little self again. It was soooooo nice. We even almost made it through an entire sacrament meeting at church (the busy monster in him won out the last ten minutes). However, I guess all good things must end and he still has one more trying to come in now. He's not quite as grouchy as before but you can tell it's bothering him some, poor little stinker. It will be so nice when we are done with these darn teeth for awhile.

We had a spectacular ending to the week with sunny, warm 60 degree weather. Landon was outside for three days straight and we practically had to shoot him with a tranquilizer dart and drag him inside at the end of the day. Mason also enjoyed being outside and trying to kill himself by escaping into the road or was just happy to run the gauntlet of dog pooh in the back yard. He definitely showed his disgust at coming inside when the time came. Now whenever he sees anybody getting ready to go outside he makes a b-line for the door so as not to miss his chance at getting out. Once again, all good things must end and we are back to more winter-like weather with snow yesterday and more to come.
