While I am still a firm believer that no little kid should have to grow up without a dog, I would really like for ours to suddenly come up missing sometimes. The Easter Bunny brought Landon a soccer ball and he loved it. He was kickin' it around and acting all cool like a pro soccer player with it. Then we took it into the back yard to play... after catching the Molly dog trying to bite, chew, play with the ball I yelled at her and she left it alone. After awhile I went in the house and left Landon, Molly and the ball to their own devices. Sometime later Landon came in and said something about the Molly dog, the soccer ball and its pieces so I went out to see what was going on and well this is what the soccer ball now looks like...
So lately it's been one of those times when I wish the dog would suddenly come up missing. The real kick in the shorts is that the bunny purposely delivered a soccer ball thinking the dog wouldn't be able to destroy it because her mouth is relatively small and she shouldn't have been able to bite it. But she gnaws on things with her front teeth like a squirrel, so I guess it's lesson learned (hopefully for me but probably not for the dog).
