While Daddy's Away...

Every time Mark has to go away over night he comes home and accuses us of partying (due to take out food paraphernalia in the garbage and wild stories from a 5 year old) the entire time he's gone, as if we are celebrating the fact he's gone. In reality I'm just trying to break up the time when we don't have Daddy coming home to look forward to and it's a good excuse to avoid cooking. But let's face it, if they get sick of me we are in trouble because even after Dad comes home they still have to spend all day with me while he's at work.

Last weekend Mark went to Moab for some much needed fun. If he's off having fun, doing what he loves best in the world, shouldn't we have fun too? So I decided to share some of the highlights of our weekend.

Laundry - whoa now we're having fun!

Okay, now we might be partying! Let me explain a little, he has had a weird obsession with this hat lately. It's too small and he insists on wearing it if he sees it, I even had to put him to bed in it one night. The plunger is one of his favorite toys, disgusting I know. I am constantly trying to take it away and telling him no, but if he gets in the bathroom it's the first thing he's going for.

Let's not forget the flat tire on the van! In all fairness, we did have some friends over to play one night and I did take the opportunity to watch some girl movies and eat chocolate cake. But if Daddy thinks we are partyin' down while he's gone, he is mistaken. We miss him and can't wait for him to come home.
