Bandits

We had a couple of bandits outside our house the other night. I had just gotten home from Young Women's and heard the dog give a low growly bark at something. As I turned to look out of the garage I saw two raccoons run past! I went to see where they were going and saw them run up onto the front porch so I hurried inside and told Mark and the kids to come. As I slowly (didn't want to get attacked!) opened the front door I saw them sitting on the edge of the porch and they jumped off once they saw me. I ran to the edge and could hear rustling but couldn't see them. We soon discovered they were under the porch! Whether they had been living there or just found a convenient place to hide we aren't sure. Mark waited outside for them to leave (and to snap a few pics) then we filled the hole in with rocks so they couldn't come back. The boys thought all of this was excellent entertainment!

In the neighbors yard after it climbed over the fence. This was the biggest raccoon we had ever seen! It probably weighed more than Owen! Must be living the high life here in the burbs!
