The Beach and a Battleship

We finally made it to the beach on our last afternoon there. The boys loved playing in the giant sandbox and were quick to continue work on a huge hole someone else had started. They also had lots of fun trying to outrun the waves and gathering seashells. The water was a bit chilly for swimming so there was none of that.

The day we left we had a little time in the morning for one more thing, a ship tour. There were two to choose from so we let Landon decide, should we see the "battleship" or the "pirate ship" and of course, he chose the battleship (I wonder where he gets that from?). So we were off to the USS Midway Museum, it's an aircraft carrier that is permanently docked there with lots of various types of planes and helicopters on board. It was pretty cool to be able to go inside and see the parts of the ship and to see all the aircraft.
