This past weekend I got up early and headed out for my 'Springtime Camping Spot Hunt' before Amy and the kids woke up. I usually start getting the itch to get out and explore around April- in search of the elusive perfect camp site that nobody else knows about, with a nice little creek, a thick stand of trees with a good amount of downfall (firewood), maybe a nearby grassy meadow, and only accessible by 4x4. Well, after 3 years of searching, I may have found it. Unfortunately for me, I'll have to wait at least another month to be sure. The only downside to my new found camp-site is that it sits just below 11,000 feet in elevation. It's still a wee bit cold up there this time of year to take the little ones camping. As soon as the snow melts, we're there! You'll have to forgive me for not telling you exactly where it is.

1/2 mile above the campsite looking down the valley.

Same location, approximately 11,500 ft. Looking out towards the Treeline and the Continental Divide
